Living in Vermont, I have always been inspired by nature. I love the beauty that every season has to offer. Every time of year is special – from the bright white snow and blue skies of winter to the fresh greens of spring, the explosion of flowers in summer, and the vibrant colors of autumn. My work is a reflection of that beauty and of my thankfulness that I am able to live here.
When I paint, I think of color and light, of lines and movement, color theory and the paint itself. I strive to find that place where representational art meets abstract painting. I seek to capture the essence of our environment and to convey that in a beautiful painting. I find inspiration from all the great masters of the past that have come and gone before me.
I have been painting for many years. This work represents the lessons I have learned along the way, and the lessons that I share with my many wonderful students. Art is one way I keep learning about the world. It is my privilege to share what I have experienced with you.
